JEFFERSON CITY – Gov. Jay Nixon has named Anita (Shelly) M. King, of Cameron, as the new Collector for Clinton County. The position became vacant upon the resignation of the former Collector, Sharon Cockrum.
King, a Democrat, is the chief deputy collector for Clinton County, and has held the position since November 2006.
She previously served as the deputy mapping director for the Clinton County Assessor.
“Shelly King’s experience with this important county office will enable her to step into this position and ably serve the citizens of Clinton County,” Gov. Nixon said.
