One man was seriously injured Wednesday morning when his car slammed into a tree in midtown Saint Joseph. Police Sergeant Jill Voltmer says the 25 year old driver was the only occupant of the 2011 Hyundai Elantra.
The driver lost control, the car left the street, and it hit the tree near 18th and Beatty at 1:27 am. The driver was taken to Heartland for treatment. The accident is still under investigation.
