Three people were arrested in the case, but only one has been charged. Shandra Kuehner, 27, remains in custody pending a court appearance Thursday. A judge set bond at $15,000. Kuehner is charged with felony tampering.
Captain Jeff Wilson says the victims had left their vehicles running to warm them up Tuesday morning.
“Our recommendation to people is that if you choose to warm your vehicle up you don’t leave it unattended,” Captain Wilson said.
“Of course there is a city ordinance that states you can’t leave your vehicle unattended and running on a city street so we encourage people not to do that. If you choose to do it in your driveway you need to keep your vehicle within eyeshot, and keep an eye on it all the time.”
The investigation continues.
