St Joseph police responded to a shooting report Sunday night in the 1900 block of Edmond Street.
An elderly man was injured, and was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center with injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.
Investigators blocked off a large area at the scene Sunday night as they looked for evidence.
The name of the victim has not been released. There have been no arrests. An investigation continues.
