St. Joseph’s Open Door Food Kitchen will host its annual meeting with a banquet later this month.
For the past 31-years the food kitchen has been serving meals to the hungry in St. Joseph. According to the organization’s website the first meals were served in a rented space at the Salvation Army in 1984.
In 1990 the Food Kitchen opened its doors at 510 Edmond St. and expanded next door at 512 in 2005-06.
To celebrate another year serving those in need in the St. Joseph community the Open Door Food Kitchen will host its annual meeting and Banquet Thursday, June 25 at the Knights of Columbus building located at 1205 N. 49th Terrace.
The dinner will start at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour starting prior to that.
