According to Lt. Shawn Collie with the Buchanan County Drug Strike Force officers from the St. Joseph Police Department, and Buchanan County Sheriff’s Department were called out around 4 p.m. to an apartment located at 622 N. 23rd St to try to make contact with several individuals inside wanted on felony parole warrants.
After being unable to make contact with the individuals inside Collie said SRT was called in to assist because the individuals had a history of being armed.
Collie said SRT was able to make contact with the individuals who came out and surrendered five hours later.
Two white females and two white males were taken into custody. Three were arrested on parole warrants and one was arrested on city warrants.
Collie said a search warrant was obtained for drug related items and firearms.
He said a search of the residence lead to the discovery of drug paraphernalia for drug use as well as items consistent with the sale of drugs. A firearm was also recovered.
Collie said an investigation is still underway. Charges will be submitted to the prosecutors office after the investigation is completed.
