A St. Joseph man has been charged in connection with a North End Stabbing investigation.
19-year-old Michael R. Hill has been charged in Buchanan County with 2nd degree assault. According to court documents Hill allegedly caused physical injury to Karl Hurt Jr. by stabbing him.
A probable cause statement signed by Detective Frank Till with the St. Joseph Police Department said the incident took place at 505 East Highland Ave. Tuesday.
“In the course of a physical altercation, the defendant committed the crime of 1st degree assault with a knife by repeatedly stabbing the victim with a knife causing life threatening injuries to the victim,” Till said in the statement.
As we previously reported, the St. Joseph Police Department responded to a stabbing incident Tuesday around 4 p.m. to find a 22-year-old St. Joseph Man with a stab wound to his abdomen. The victim was transported to Mosaic Life Care for treatment.
Hill is currently on probation for a drug charge.
An arraignment has been scheduled for Tuesday.
