Special enforcement efforts over the holiday weekend nabbed a lot of violators in Northwest Missouri.
Troop H of the Missouri State Highway Patrol manned a sobriety checkpoint in Nodaway County, and two DWI saturation patrols in Buchanan County.
The 20-Mile Trooper project was conducted on Interstate 35, on August 30 and September 2nd.
Operation C.A.R.E. was conducted throughout the weekend to help ensure the safety of motorists.
During the counting period, troopers investigated 13 crashes, with six injuries. Troop H recorded no traffic-related fatalities during the holiday weekend. Troop H had no incidents involving boaters or swimmers.

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, stated, “The fact that no fatalities were recorded within the 15 counties of Troop H is a positive outcome. Troopers worked diligently to help safeguard the public as they spent time driving, boating, and swimming.”
