Unusual Sex Charge Filed Against St Joe Man

A St Joseph man is in jail after allegedly teaching two young children, ages 7 and 5, to have sexual intercourse. A court affidavit says Willis Jackson Hartman III had care and custody of the siblings in March, when he allegedly “taught, encouraged and authorized” them to perform sexual intercourse.

Hartman is charged with a class-c felony: use of a child in sexual performance.

Charges were filed August 23. Hartman was arrested Wednesday.

A judge set bond at $50,000, and ordered Hartman not to have contact with either victim, or with any minor child. Formal arraignment is scheduled Friday, August 30.
