ST JOSEPH- One person was injured in an accident just before 1:30 p.m. on Sunday in Andrew County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Landrover driven by Jon F. Forbes, 64, Naple, FL., was southbound on Interstate 29 three miles north of St. Joseph.
The vehicle struck a wild turkey in flight. The turkey crashed through the front windshield and into the front passenger seat.
The passenger Suanne T. Layden, 60, Naples, FL., was injured by broken glass and debris. She was transported to Mosaic Life Care.
The MSHP reported both were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
