An accused drunk-driver appears in court on manslaughter charges. Clinton County Judge Paul Luckenbill assigned the Public Defender to represent Jacqueline McQuinn, who appeared in court for the first time Wednesday. McQuinn is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter in the 1st Degree, a class-b felony.
Traffic investigators say Charles O. Cooper’s UTV was hit by McQuinn’s Pontiac as the UTV entered US-69 highway from private property south of Cameron Monday evening. The 72-year-old Cameron man was killed.
Prosecutors say McQuinn, 53, failed a pair of blood-alcohol tests after the accident.
Ms McQuinn is due back in court August 27. She remains behind bars under $100,000 bond.
