Thunderstorms overnight

Screen Shot 2014-07-07 at 4.58.00 AMStrong thunderstorms will develop later this evening as a strong cold front slowly moves south through the region. Some storms can become severe with damaging winds and large hail being the main threats. Heavy rain will be possible overnight and a flash flood watch is in effect for much of northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas.
Tonight Showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 5am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 69. East southeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
Tuesday A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. North northwest wind 7 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tuesday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 63. North northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light in the evening.
Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 83. Light and variable wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 64.
