The latest crime figures for Saint Joseph show a big drop in burglaries. Police Chief Chris Connally says last year from January to May there were 325 burglaries; this year there were 234.
Connally says neighbors watching out for each other can make a difference, and may be a large part of the decrease since a spike in burglaries two years ago. He says the trend is encouraging.
