Fine Friday weather

Friday and Saturday will bring very pleasant weather to most of eastern Kansas and western Missouri. Strong to severe thunderstorms will likely form well west of the forecast area, across central Kansas and Nebraska, moving eastward through the evening hours. Far northwest Missouri and northwest Kansas may see strong to severe thunderstorms Saturday night. The storms will move through the area Saturday night and Sunday, perhaps continuing the severe weather threat for Sunday, especially across SE Kansas and central/northern Missouri.

Today Sunny, with a high near 76. Light and variable wind becoming south southeast 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
Tonight Mostly clear, with a low around 58. South southeast wind around 10 mph.
Saturday Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. Breezy, with a south wind 13 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph.
Saturday Night Showers and thunderstorms likely after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. Breezy, with a south wind 18 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Sunday A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. South wind 9 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Sunday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 64.
Monday A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
