The Saint Joseph City Council may change part of the voter-approved smoking ordinance due to go into effect June 7. At a worksession Tuesday, a majority agreed that outdoor smoking should be allowed five feet from any business door, window, or vent…instead of 15 feet in the ordinance.
The change must be approved in regular session, and final approval would happen June 9.
