NDOR logoThe Nebraska Department of Roads announces highway improvements that will slow your progress through this fall west of Rock Port, Mo on US-136 highway in Nebraska. Contractors will be repairing US-136 from Brownville to Auburn, Nebraska starting April 28, weather permitting.

Constructors, Inc., of Lincoln, Nebraska, has the $4,968,000 contract for the 10-mile highway improvement project. Work consists of grading, concrete patching, bridge and asphalt overlay, guardrail and seeding.

Traffic will be maintained at all times on US-136. Pilot cars and flaggers will be used during the concrete patching, bridge overlay and asphalt overlay operations. Motorists are reminded that fines for speeding are doubled in work zones when workers are present.

Motorists are also reminded to watch for construction vehicles entering and exiting construction work areas. Work is anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2014.
