A St. Joseph man was injured in a Sunday morning crash.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2002 Chevy Camaro driven by James Y. Rupert,30, was traveling north on I-229 at MO 752 and hit a raccoon.
The driver overcorrected and the vehicle traveled off the ride side of the road. The driver overcorrected again and the vehicle started rotating in a counter clockwise manner, went into the media and hit two guardrails.
Rupert was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center. The MSHP reports he was not wearing a seat belt
