We’re watching the potential for another round of winter weather expected to hit the area during the day on Monday. This storm will be a fast mover but for the 12 or so hours it’s moving across the region it will produce several inches of snow, mainly across the northern tier of Missouri. The heaviest amounts are expected to be along and north of Highway 36, where amounts could range from 1 to 2 inches. Further south, a dusting to about an inch is possible. The good news is that Spring should be back through the remainder of the week. Temperatures warm into the 40s and 50s on Wednesday which will quickly melt the snow.
Today Sunny, with a high near 39. North northeast wind 5 to 8 mph.
Sunday night Partly cloudy, with a low around 27. East southeast wind 6 to 9 mph.
Monday Rain and snow likely, mainly before 1pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 39. Southeast wind 8 to 14 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
