The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that occurred Sunday morning while the residents were asleep.
Sheriff Steve Cox says the occupants of a home in the 18000 block of US-65 highway woke up around 5am Sunday to the sound of an intruder inside their home.
A resident confronted a man inside the home.
He was described as about 6’1″ in height, wearing jeans and a grey colored hoody.
Cox says the suspect fled out the door and entered a newer white or light colored VW Passat type car. The suspect vehicle drove through the victims yard in fleeing the area and headed south on U.S. 65.
Sheriff Cox says the victim is missing a variety of items including ammunition and firearm(s). The suspect had also placed additional items in a location to carry out. This was all done while the occupants were sleeping.
